My first try

I havnt been able to sleep right the night before for so many reasons. I was coming down with a cold, so I have taken some cold medication. And I was nervous about two things: 1-getting my Uni schedule sorted out and 2- Passing my first try tomorrow.

The first try in Muscat is a funny business.. To pass it you need a number of things like luck, a magical spell of some sort and the will to sell out your principles and exchange numbers with your officer. And of course lets hope that your officer does'nt mind getting up in the morning, testing about 30 people in five hours in the hot sun.. and he ACTUALLY loves his job.

Haha.

Really it doesnt matter how good a driver you are you will most likely fail. I know a couple of my friends who got it in the first try.. They must have had the luck and happy officer factor rooting for them.

Anyways.. I'm sitting in the car for two hours and the sun is burning one side of my face.. My instructor told me when he saw my picture in the Ketcha he was happy cause there was a girl he would test today.. he told me he was in a good mood and if he tried to slip you his number to"just take it" Lol

When he finally got in the car i was nervous but tried to keep my cool.. How are you bla bla all that crap went on then he asked "Ready?"

And we went on our way.. the usual give me a right parking..Parked, check.
Go left Go right Go straight, check.
I hate taking directions. I hate people telling me what to do. And I HATE it when people take over my steering wheel to " fix it ". I'm not being unreasonable! when i Turn i dont do it like a crazy person, i take my time and there were no other cars anywhere to be seen. But he had to grab it and move it. He was lucky i didnt reach out to the passenger door, unlock it and kick him out there and then.

MOVING ON, he tried the usual i'll trick her into going to a wrong place.. she's not stupid enough, check.
As I was taking a left to leave a petrol station there was a taxi parked in front of me, far away, he said: "hey hey ween ray7a??" * "hey hey where are you going?" i looked at him and said "left..?" "Batd5uli fil Taxi?" * " will you drive into the taxi?"
I said "its not even close!" then i ignored him. Now I really hated him. Really.

We went back to the place and he was like: "Dear I'm going to help you by failing you"
"No!" i said " I need it come on what was my mistake" "its not haram this is life"
I gave him a mean look and said I did'nt say Haram.. He froze for a bit and said "then what did you say?".." I said no" ..he mumbled:" Oh.. Okay" lol
so he kept going on and on about somethings that i dont even remember happened and I was the one in the driver's seat. -.-

As i was leaving the place I was bummed cause i have to wait two weeks for the next try but it was the first try so im not beating my self up over it.

Awh.. well

We live and learn, right?

YES, I'm Omani.

After an early day at Uni, my friend and i decided to treat ourselves to a lovely chocolate chip ice cream since we've been craving it for about a week now and cause, well, we want to!

So before that we went to McDonald's for a quick meal and as we were ordering our Two Spicy McChickens with Medium sized fries, extra Mayo and Diet cokes * =) * three Imarati guys walk in, they ordered the exact same thing and payed with Dirhams.
We cheerfully ignored them and went to our table, sat by the window.
With cars passing by we chatted away and laughed. The three guys stood up, two went to the rest room and one came up to us and said to my friend : "excuse me, may I ask you a question?"
She looked at me with this weird half of a smile on her face as if she was waiting for me to respond back.. he asked two more times and I told him : "what is it?" The guy wasn't tall, he looked like he loved McDonald's and he was a bright pink in the face. Two Omani guys were watching us from another table, Omani guys wouldn't really come up to you at McDonald's and try to talk you up if they don't know you.. Imaratis, well that's a different story.

Anyways!
He asked the most annoying person anyone could ask.. "Inti 3maniya?'' We looked at each other- my friend and I- and looked back at him with an evil evil eye. ''Aiwa'' Then he said "Mashalla Ive never seen an Omani girl this beautiful, Omanis are beautiful then!" THAT was him flirting! The biggest insult to us is to ask if were Omani. He was trying for about ten minutes to get a number, or an e-mail.
Lol didn't ask for a BB pin cause i don't think he had the service =)
When he left we had a laugh and just went on with our conversation and to top our perfect lunch, a weirdo guy from high school gave me a spine-chilling wink.
This guy was the loser of all losers trying to get with every girl he sees.

Haha.. The greatest ending.. And the "cherry" on top of our sundae was The new baskin robbin's hot and cold Brownie Sundae. Perfect Delight, for only 1.500 if you can believe it ;) We devoured it on our way in the car and that just made all our troubles go far, far away =)

Heaven, I'm in heaven ....

How to get rid of a migrane

You get two kind of migranes, the easy ones as i like to call them.. These are the ones that go after you pop a few pills and everything is wonderful again. And the hardcore ones, these are the ones that stay with you for days. Doesn't care how much paracetamol you ingest.. Its here to stay.

All the crap you find on websites on how to get rid of it never works. They are lies. Best thing you can do is lay on your bed with the lights out..

It feels like electric shocks are taking nice long walks between the little creases in your brain. Rufus Wainwright's Across the universe was playing on and on in my head.

Let's see how long this one is going to stay :)

Uhh seriously?

So my friends and I decided to go to the little "Fun City" next to City ElQurum cause well, we had nothing better to do. We went on the second biggest ride, the one that just spins around.. It looked fun, we just needed a pick-me-up since we've been feeling sleepy. Me and my girlfriend were about to die from all the laughing and screaming we were doing and we looked to our right to see how our other friend was doing and he was about to die from fear. he was .. crying. We looked at each other, looked at him and let out a huge: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! It was pathetic, you cry cause someone died.. Okay. You cry cause you're on a ride?? You should have gotten yourself a life when you were getting the tokens . We must have missed the "No babies allowed" sign. Please, do NOT act all tough when you're not.

A Day At The Kitchen

I woke up early on Tue, cause i was going to meet my bestest girlfriends for lunch. I haven't seen them in ages, one of them had exams, and the other.. well we didnt have the time to meet up.
She told me to wake up early cause sleeping in my second favorite hobby.. I sleep like a panda. I sleep too much and i love it.

Anyways as i was waiting for her to let me know when she'll pass by, i slept.
I woke up after i gave off the busy dial tone like twice.
We decided to go to the new d'arcy's kitchen in MQ..n Had a nice "meaty" meal and ALL THE TIME we were there, a guy in the kitchen was eyeballing me from that little window kitchen. I told my friend am I paranoid or is he staring at me? She let out a huge laugh and said I noticed that too but didnt want to say anything! lol..

It felt like being in the City Centre food court again.. You know when you're trying to enjoy your meal but you feel so awkward with pedophile-looking pervs stare at you. Sometimes from across the court. -.-
We've been trying to avoid that cause thats were we normally go to after Uni.
But apparently no luck there.

Anyways we made fun of him and let it out by swearing at him and the Bitchy waitress who wasnt answering us when we were YELLING for the check.

-The place is cute, food isnt bad. But messy!
Its a nice little place to go for lunch and there are many tables to chose from.

Cant get this song out of my head, LOVE it!
Everybody is being so mean about Scarlett singing but her voice from this song is stuck in my head!

So anyways, another great day in Muscat. Its, what do you know?, Sunny!
this is the first time Ive seen the sun light in a long time.. Since i haven't moved out of my bed for about five days.

Ever since i turned 17 iv been begging my mother to let me get my driving license. She said that its out of the question until i graduate high school. So I did, now I'm at my First year at Uni and every day I'm getting closer to getting it. I'm a pretty good driver, id trust me driving..You know..

Haven't failed any try yet, so Wish me luck!

Il Gelato Di Bruno, anyone?

Who doesn't love a good gelato?

I remember when Il Gelato Di Bruno opened sometime last year, me and my girlfriends made it a habit to go there every week.. we would follow it religiously.
Something about the exciting flavors, the atmosphere made us come back for more.

Lately i went back there with my friends and was appalled by how much the place changed, its dead now. The menus are all old and the gelatos aren't made with that Italian love anymore :(

It saddened me to see this.. as that place was one of my all time favorites!

Please Bruno, get your Gelato shop together!
